So, I finally saw "Star Wars: The Last Jedi" and I absolutely loved it. I really don't know much about what other people think of the movie because I just don't ask. I try my very best to go in to any "Star Wars" movie with no prior knowledge or opinions on anything. That is sometimes quite a task because I absolutely hate crowded movie theaters so I never see the movie when it first comes out. The first thought I had when the movie ended was that this movie was probably in my top 3 of "Star Wars" movies. When someone asked me about it I decided to go with top 5 because I wanted to wait and put some more thought into it before I officially ranked it. After more thought this is what I came up with.
- Star Wars: A New Hope (Episode 4)
- The Empire Strikes Back (Episode 5)
- The Last Jedi (Episode 8)
- Rogue One
- The Phantom Menace (Episode 1)
- Return of the Jedi (Episode 6)
- Revenge of the Sith (Episode 3)
- The Force Awakens (Episode 7)
- Attack of the Clones (Episode 2)
Now, keep in mind that my perspective of these movies is different than many people. I just watched Episodes 1 thru 6 two years ago. I had seen bits and pieces of the original "Star Wars" trilogy when I was younger, but I didn't sit down and watch each one from beginning to end until recently. Also, because of my age I missed the whole Star Wars fandom and so did my friends. I literally never heard any of my friends or family talk about "Star Wars" or even mention that the movies were a must see. If someone did mention it and I'm just forgetting that just tells you that I wasn't paying them any attention because I just didn't have the interest. I was always fully aware of "Star Wars" and that it was a very famous trilogy, but my awareness stopped there. With that being said, I walked into the "Star Wars" movie binge two years ago completely unbiased and ended up loving the movies.
I'm well aware that hard core "Star Wars" fans have a pretty strong opinion about the ranking of these movies so let the debate begin!
